When entering a Footprints club meeting, students can find themselves immersed in Bible passages, friendly chatter and the gentle strums of a guitar.

The club, centered around sharing Christianity, is a place for students who want to explore and learn about the gospel, co-president, senior Angelina Cuan said.
Every week, the club selects passages from the Bible to discuss and reveal values they want to promote among members in their general meetings, co-president, senior Hannah Lin said. Through discussing the Holy Gospel, Footprints covers many important values, such as community and kindness, Lin said.
By emphasizing topics like forgiveness, the club helps others improve themselves, co-president, senior Caleb Xiao said.
“My last message on the Lord’s Prayer was about forgiving others, as we have been forgiven,” Xiao said. “I talked about how God has forgiven us so much, and we should be the people who forgive others, as well.”
Additionally, the club allows students to discuss their journey with Christ, Lin said. At some meetings, Lin said student speakers touch on personal experiences and how their lives have improved through Christianity, inspiring Christians and non-Christians alike.
“A lot of times we have people come and talk about how they were different people before they knew Christ,” Lin said. “[For example,] they were a lot more easily angered, but after Christ, they have been renewed and are able to be more patient with others.”
In sharing these personal testimonials, club members hope to uplift the lives of all students who attend Footprints meetings, Cuan said.
“Every single student has their own personal struggles,” Cuan said. “ I hope they learn the peace and love we’ve experienced through Jesus, and that they can [provide] the same for others.”
As the club continues to spread the messages of Christ, officers hope to inspire self-improvement along the way, said Xiao.
“Even if you were the most notorious criminal, you can start loving and caring for people, [and] building relationships … through helping people and your community,” Xiao said.
