Water shoots 30 feet high after collision at Homestead

Elderly man crashes into fire hydrant by student drop-off area

The water was turned off by first responders at approximately 9 a.m.

During first period, an elderly man crashed into a fire hydrant in front of Homestead, officials said. The damaged fire hydrant was left shooting water into the air and flooding the surrounding area. No one was injured. The water was contained by 9:00 a.m.
