  • “I’m worried that people of color will be discriminated against because President Trump’s ban seemed to target a specific ethnic group. Rather than implementing vetting measures, he instead decided to just block a group of people, and it’s based on religion, so it sounds similar to, say, an Anti-semitic ban during the 1940s.”

  • “Honestly, it’s kind of embarrassing, because we’ve basically been built off the fact that you come here, you can be who you want and live how you want. It’s the idea of liberty. And the fact that he’s placing this ban on a lot of people that make up our country is just embarrassing.” “My hope is that Trump gets impeached somehow, or isn’t in power anymore. Honestly, anyone but him. But this one guy, I heard on NPR, he started selling taco bowls for 15 dollars, and all the money went toward an organization against Trump …. I would definitely buy one of those taco bowls.”

  • “I think it’s kind of unfair because some of the countries he didn’t ban are related to his business, it’s kinda unfair. He shouldn’t have that much power and he shouldn’t be so selective about it.” “Diverse place with a lot of different people; you can live peacefully together.” “I hope that as little issues as possible occur. I hope we can live in peace."

  • “It’s also interesting because we live in such a bubble, and that fact that there’s the JFK thing, and even at SFO, and even the Women’s March in San Francisco, it’s just so close to home. It kind of reminds you that action is happening.” “Everyone says California is doing a moderately good job of not being really violent, but just protesting a lot for a good cause so we need to keep that up.”
