About the Contributors
Saira Ahmed, Managing Editor
It is senior Saira Ahmed’s third (and final) year on The Epitaph, but she is still looking forward to writing about the same topics as she did two years ago: niche issues on campus, scathing album reviews and artistic profiles. She cannot wait to use what she learned from the paper in the real world, aspiring to be an environmental photographer and journalist. Outside of The Epitaph, Saira enjoys spending countless hours searching for new music and creating Pinterest boards.
Karuna Chandran, Managing Editor
Now a senior, Karuna is so excited to return once again to the paper, this year as the Managing Editor. She hopes to help staff members express themselves creatively through editing, while also watching every single person grow and flourish. Outside of the paper which makes up a significant, wonderful portion of her life, she is also an intern at the Los Altos Town Crier, works to learn and preserve the natural world through her work as a team lead at Sunrise Movement and hopes to continue making lifelong memories.
Madhavi Karthik, Editor-in-Chief
Madhavi is currently a senior and is looking forward to another great year with the paper as one of the Editors-in-Chief! Aside from working with The Epitaph, Madhavi enjoys rereading childhood classics (especially Ramona Quimby), discovering new cupcake places and furthering her passion for science.
Zeinab Rakhshandehroo, Lifestyles Editor
Zeinab is a senior and is super excited to be one of the Lifestyles editorw in her third year with The Epitaph. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading and spending time outdoors.
Hope Saena, Production Manager
Now a senior, Hope is exhilarated to be serving as this year’s Production Manager. Throughout her three years at The Epitaph, Hope has grown to love writing and making newfound connections. Aside from focusing on her duties as Production Manager, Hope can be found hiking, surfing somewhere in Capitola, lifting with her dad and searching for new music to listen to.
Lindsey Steel, Opinion Editor
Lindsey is a senior and is excited to be an Opinion editor this year. As a third-year staffer, she is looking forward to not only sharing her own views but also amplifying voices across campus. Outside of The Epitaph, she enjoys re-watching “Modern Family” and going to the beach.
